It is easy to be sheltered from the great needs there are around the world, as a 24 year-old woman in Durham, NC. Lets be honest, too, that on the other side of the coin it is easy to be paralyzed by the number and severity of needs that we don’t do anything at all.
I am grateful today for the privilege of creating this piece that will hang in the bedroom of 2 children adopted from the Democratic Republic of Congo. They will be on their way home sometime this fall. This family reminds me that I cannot be the answer to all of the world’s problems, but I must move forward SOMEWHERE to the hurting, and trust the Lord to guide my steps.
