A bit about me…

I am 24 and I love to make things. My husband Tom claims I wanted to move into our new townhouse simply for the purpose of creating my own real life Pinterest board (to which I respond that I am MUCH more original than that haha).

We have been married for nearly 2 years (so I am basically a pro now, right?) and live in Durham, NC.  We both graduated from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill in 2011 and are huge Tarheel fans.  He graduated with a business degree and works for a non-profit in Chapel Hill, while I, on the other end of the spectrum, received a degree in Studio Art.

With the rest of my time, I am the owner of a creative business – rambleandroost.etsy.com .  I create a number of handmade items, from hand-painted mason jars, to acrylic paintings, to string art on barn wood.  I love to update my blog with the goings on in my studio and shop.

What else is there… ? I love North Carolina- a southern girl at heart.  I grew up on a farm in a small town outside of Charlotte, NC and I love the outdoors.  Lightning bugs, fresh tomatoes and bailing hay are some of my favorite things.  But though I have deep roots here, I love to travel and hope to see much of the world in my life.  I believe there is much to see, to learn and many people to love in this world- so I do what I can to get to that every day.
